So I made a blog. Not a newsletter, not a portfolio, not a “personal brand” — just a place to write things down. A diary that happens to be on the internet.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. Every few months I’d think about starting one, look at all the options, get overwhelmed by the discourse around blogging platforms, and give up. Substack wants me to grow an audience. Medium wants me to join their partner program. WordPress wants me to install seventeen plugins before I can write a single sentence.

What this is

This is a static site. I write markdown files, push to git, and they become web pages. No database, no CMS, no analytics tracking how long you spent reading this paragraph. Just text.

I’ll write about whatever I’m thinking about — mostly tech and anime, sometimes life in general. Some posts will be long and considered. Others will be short rants. The point is to write, not to optimize.

If you’re reading this, welcome. There’s no subscribe button, but you’re always welcome to come back and check if anything new is here.

First post. The hardest part is over.
